Ohio Faces Potential Ballot
Issue that May Hurt Businesses
The Service Employees International
Union(SEIU) is currently preparing for the
ballot, “Healthy Families Act.” The SEIU’s
proposal would force any company with 25 or
more employees to provide seven paid sick
days annually and part-time employees would
receive a pro-rated amount. The SEIU has
until early August to raise an additional
120, 683 signatures from registered voters
to get this issue on the ballot. This ballot
issue could send jobs and companies out of
